This lovely book is not only an excellent conversation guide for adults and children, but it has wonderful applications for professional counselors as well. The book will help children sort through the bewildering, painful process of grieving while giving adults insights into the child's experience as well as the words to interact with the child sensitively. I plan to include this book in my grief counseling reference materials. Highly recommend!
I bought a few copies because I am a teacher and have many friends with kids. I think it's really important to have something like this on hand for young children. The book carries a gentle tone throughout as it prompts the child to draw pictures of the life cycle of a flower, the life stages of people, a good memory of the person who died, things that the child enjoys, and more.
