Professional interest led me to buy this, as I already owned and used an earlier edition. Like many British-authored technical books, it looks deceptively simple, but it is packed full of little gems that you only realize are there when you're in a fix!
The book takes into consideration all the matters and techniques necessary in pharmaceutical quality control in any lab of the world
I used this book in a practical course in medicinal chemistry. Although we had a series of other suggested texts, this was by far the best book we used. Its written clearly and would be fine for a beginning student. The sample problems are nicely worked out and they don't assume that you know everything already. It doesn't do the most thourough job of explaining the theory behind the experimental approaces, but it would suffice for a beginning course in med chem.
